Why is the competition charging so much more for HDMI cables and home theater equipment?
There are two good reasons that I can think of to answer this question. 1) There is a common misconception that you always get what you pay for and therefore; more expensive cables provide a superior image and are of top notch build quality. As I stroll through various chain stores, I hear customers trying their best to justify the higher price tags for various cables and home theater equipment. 2) Because they can. Often times customers don’t take the time to do research. In the fast paced world we live in, customers trust packaging and sales representatives to provide unbiased information. Naturally, this is not usually 100% accurate and identical if not higher quality products can be had for as much as 75-80% less money.
