Why is the Commissioner for Environmental Sustainability strategically auditing the Victorian government EMS program?
The strategic EMS audit aims to produce an independent picture of the Victorian government’s performance in reducing the environmental impacts of its office-based activities and, by reporting performance annually, drive change across the whole of government. The audit will also assist agencies to continually improve their EMS by identifying issues inhibiting the performance of the EMS, and sharing this knowledge to effectively address these at a whole of government level.
