Due to the large volume of trees that are added to regular garbage collection each winter, The City’s Waste & Recycling Services began a recycling program with designated locations for citizens to drop-off their Christmas tree for recycling. By participating in the program, residents help keep garbage collection crews on schedule during peak volumes of seasonal waste, reduce green house gases, extend the life of landfills, and recycle a natural resource.
