Why is the City of Brampton, concerned about the safe use of consumer fireworks?
The City of Brampton has witnessed irresponsible use of consumer fireworks within the City, including some criminal acts that include damaging property through the reckless use of fireworks such as roman candles. The National Fire Protection Association, and many medical and blindness prevention professionals, are opposed to the use of consumer fireworks for safety reasons, even if they are purchased and set off legally.
