The circulating blood volume (BV) can only be calculated, if the absolute concentration of ICG-PULSION in mg/ml is known. This absolute concentration cannot be determined directly by the dilution measurement with the LiMON. The entered value for the cardiac output (CO) is used for the calibration of the dye signal and consequently for the determination of the absolute concentration of ICG-PULSION.
