Why is the Chapter named the Guardian Angels?
When trying to find a name for the Chapter, I wanted it to reflect the Space Marines “Angelic” Status. Naturally “Guardian Angels” came to mind, and after checking with the Liber Astartes (the most extensive Chapter listing in existence), I found that the name, surprisingly enough, was unclaimed. The name reflects the Chapters status as humanities protectors; both in body, mind and soul. – Not just body, like most Space Marine Chapters.
