Might be helpful to know what the program is and the drives involved. Is it a stand alone app, is it bundled with Dell setup/recovery? I can only surmise. There are a few burning apps out there that don’t “like to play in the same sandbox”, with certain hardware. It simply may not support the burner in the HP. I for one, have two different opticals, one a dvd/cd reader from Creative and a LG multi burner. Nero and BS Gold won’t support me using both on any channel, master or slave or CSL. Alcohol 120% does. Not to mention, that Dell and HP are so proprietory, that anything to do with cross platform would be a major chore. Curse Dell and HP/Compaq for being that way.
