Why is the Carlisle the name on my Ultimax Belt?
In August of 2001, Carlisle Companies, Inc. purchased the Dayco Industrial Division (DID). The new company is called Carlisle Power Transmission. The acquisition by Carlisle included the industrial, agricultural, lawn & garden and recreational markets that DID served. Among the recreational products acquired by Carlisle Power Transmission were the snowmobile belts that are produced for major OEM snowmobile manufacturers as well as the aftermarket snowmobile belts, Incredible Max and Ultimax.
