Why is the Canadian government particularly concerned about negotiating clean air agreements with the US?

Because they care about people and their envirment and by asking us to negotiate, they’re just showing us that they want to help us to keep the air clean. Since they can’t keep our air clean for us over here their trying to negotiate. We do share a border with them. Our government is probably going to make this a big deal and make it seem like it’s a bad idea, (like having universial health care) because it’s healthy to have clean air and they just want us to be sick so we pay health insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies. Can’t everyone see what OUR government is doing?
