Why is the calibration of tactile transducers important?

• The same reason calibration of subwoofers is important. Transducers make audible sound. You want the bass units to blend with the front speakers. • Now I for one believe in high fidelity through overkill, but moderation is key. Turning the transducers volume down leaves more headroom so that they don’t bottom out on the really loud peaks. • “Riding the gain.” One hand on the transducer amplifier gain control and the other in the popcorn is cool, but it gets old real quick. You want to be able to set them and forget them, so you can enjoy the movie or not get into any accidents while you are driving.
