Why is the Bracket Payoff System an advantage for me, as a team penner?
It is very simple why it is an advantage. How many times have you attended a team penning, spent $100 to $300 for diesel, paid for a hotel room and stalls, and wasted 2 to 4 days of your precious time, only to discover that the turn out was not as expected in your classes, and therefore the payoff was not that great. At an Ultimate Team Penning, you will know that there is a great payoff before you ever leave your house. In the Ultimate Team Penning Format, everybody enters 1 event, and each team will make 2 runs in the competition, the format encourages the higher rated contestants to enter up with lower rated riders, to make teams that are eligible for checks in the lower capped brackets. Every team has 3 opportunities to get a check, in each go and the average. The lower numbered teams, like a 5 and under, are eligible to get checks in all the brackets, while a 17 numbered team is only eligible to get checks in the 1st & 2nd Bracket.
