Why is the bottom of the air box and the breather filter soaked in motor oil?
Older engines, particularly the 5.0 and the 5.8 are prone to excessive oil being drawn through the PCV system. If replacing the PCV valve does not help the problem, its a more expensive repair usually involving engine overhaul. Loss of oil control through rings and valve seals is the primary reason.
