Why is the band called Delirious?
When the five band members decided to go full time as a band in 1996 they choose the name ‘Delirious?’. Jon Thatcher explained the choice of their name in an interview where he said: “We opened the dictionary and read the meaning of ‘delirious’ as ‘wildly ecstatic, or enthused. Leaving everything we were doing was quite a gamble at the time, as well. But we decided that we wanted to invest our lives in the band. And that’s what we’ve done.” Jon went on to explain the question mark at the end of the name: “The question mark kind of haunts us.
