When the five band members decided to go full time as a band in 1996 they choose the name ‘Delirious?’. Jon Thatcher explained the choice of their name in an interview where he said: “We opened the dictionary and read the meaning of ‘delirious’ as ‘wildly ecstatic, or enthused. Leaving everything we were doing was quite a gamble at the time, as well. But we decided that we wanted to invest our lives in the band.
