Why is the audio quality not perfect or even consistent?
The earlier recordings were created by copying cassette tapes to a computer. The tape player and the computers sound card were not the best quality. As we more forward we will record directly to a computer from the churches sound system with hopefully better results Over time the audio quality will improve. Initially however we will be experimenting with different settings to determine the best compromise between the size of the audio files and the quality of the recording. Audio files can be very large especially if high quality recordings are required. These large files sizes have a impact on the space and therefore the cost to keep the files, and time it takes for you to download and play the recordings.
