Why is the ASH content so high in the EVO Formulas?
Ash content is dependent on both the quality and quantity of meat in a food. Since EVO has such a high meat content, the ASH content is naturally going to be higher. The higher ash level in EVO Cat & Kitten is due to the huge amount of chicken and turkey meal used in the formulation. Even though it is “low ash” chicken and turkey meal, the amount that we use adds up to a higher level in the finished product. Ash is NOT an issue in Feline nutrition as long as the composition is in the proper proportions and that actual feeding tests have been done with cats(both of which are true for EVO).
