Why is the area of Rodwell Road, Rodwell Avenue and Hope Square often congested?
It is often congested for a variety of reasons including people not following the signed diversion route. This route is open for light, local traffic so that traffic can flow better around Chapelhay, Boot Hill and harbourside while Boot Hill is one-way. The signed diversion via Lanehouse is the strategic route which all traffic from Portland, Wyke and Rodwell should follow as this area can handle larger volumes of traffic.
