The summer long tour which stars all of the season nine American Idol top ten finalists is ending the tour early this year. Seven of the shows for their summer tour have been cut from the schedule. A revised schedule is being released by Live Nation. The tour was originally to end on September 16th in Portland, ME but the tour will perform its last show of the summer on September 14th in Pittsburgh, PA. The cancelled cities are Omaha, Kansas City, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Toronto, Buffalo and Cleveland. All tickets that were purchased will be honored for the new schedule tour dates or you may request a refund of the purchase price. American Idol has been Fox’s number one show for many seasons. This past season has seen viewer ship decline. This season finale had approximately 24 million viewers watching between Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox compared to the previous year which had approximately 29 million viewers.
