Why Is Tennis Elbow a Common Golf Injury?
Tennis elbow is caused by the overuse or repetitive stress of the forearm and wrist. It can affect anyone who participates in an activity requiring frequent, fixed arm motions. An avid golfer, therefore, would be just as vulnerable to such an injury as a tennis player (as would a bowler, factory worker, painter, hand-shaking politician, or even Guitar Hero enthusiast). Because of its broad application, the term “tennis elbow” is sometimes used interchangeably with “golfer’s elbow,” though many experts draw a distinction between the two conditions.
