Why is Susan Boyle said to be missing the Newcastle concert date?
Susan Boyle is one of Scotland’s biggest exports for years. So it was understandable that when the 48-year-old appeared onstage in Edinburgh last night the home crowd would want to show their appreciation. But the over-enthusiastic fans who tried to grab hold of Susan as she was escorted back to her hotel left her looking flustered as her security bundled her away. The spinster, whose West Lothian home is not far from Edinburgh, ducked her head as she rushed by the gathering fans. Susan cancelled two performances in Manchester on Sunday, but rejoined the tour in Glasgow the following day. She was treated for exhaustion at The Priory in London after coming runner up on the ITV1 show. Her next scheduled appearance is in Newcastle.
