Why is sugar bad for diets? Suppose it was natural fructose in fresh fruit?

Typically, if you get your fructose from fresh vegetables and fruit, you are getting the benefits from fructose with all the extra vitamins and nutrients found in fruits in vegetables. However, if you eat sweets or drink fructose-sweetened beverages, you are only getting the benefit of the fructose (at a much higher dose) without all the added vitamins and nutrients of fruit. Plus, those sweet treats won’t fill you up like fruit can.
