Yes, it is a valid medical term. Most chiropractors believe that anything wrong with the body is a result of spinal problems (I don’t happen to agree with this, and consider it a myopic viewpoint). Since the most common problem with spines is subluxation anywhere along the transverse process, viola! Fix the subluxation, and everything else nicely falls into place.
