Why is Spray Foam better than fiberglass blow in or batt insulation in my attic?

Fiberglass insulation (blow in or batt) allows hot attic air to leak into your house through the ceiling. This is called convection. Spray Foam insulation is sprayed onto the inside of the roof plywood and seals the attic tight not allowing the hot air to enter or build up in the attic space. This prevents the hot air from leaking in through the ceiling or around lights in the ceiling. Also, your A/C ductwork is not exposed to hot attic air and condensation problems.
