Rigidity and fanaticism come from insecurity and fear. Everyone grows at their own rate and we all have various amounts of fears and insecurities to work through. Flexibility comes when you have identified so deeply with your path, that you don’t need to prove to yourself and others constantly that you are on it. You just know you are there. Sometimes it is our poor understanding of discipline and commitment that makes us see someone as fanatic and rigid.
