Why is Sophos Firewall better than the inbuilt Windows XP / Vista / windows 7 Firewall?

Windows firewall does a basic job (and is better than no firewall at all), but it has many technical limitations, plus it is virtually impossible to remotely manage and configure firewall on a network of perhaps 000’s of PC’s. Sophos in-built Client Firewall is a fully featured, stateful inspection firewall which is deployed, managed, updated, configured and supported in the same way as Sophos software is. Additionally the Client Firewall features “Potentially Unwanted Application” (PUA) support. That means that unless specifically authorised an application will not be allowed to run. This instantly neutralises rogue applications such as dialers, hijacks, trojans etc.
