Because the XDCAM Professional Disc series of products employ existing MPEG IMX® and DVCAM codecs for the SD line up and MPEG HD and DVCAM for the HD line up, disc advantages are immediately available without costly infrastructure upgrades, while built-in network and metadata technologies provide unprecedented levels of production flexibility.
