Why is some of the spending information different from what is provided in the State Comptrollers monthly and annual reports to the Legislature on a Cash Basis of Accounting?
The State Agency Spending Search provides spending information about payments at the time they are made, and does not include any of the accounting adjustments needed to correct agency posting errors or reclassify spending based on accounting rules that are applied after the State closes its books.
