Why is solar electricity so expensive?

Because most of us know so little about electricity–and even many electricians know little about solar–we tend to leave developing and installing these systems up to “experts” who charge upwards of $50 an hour. There are, in other words, ways around some of the costs, especially if all you want to do is power up a room in your house or a motorhome etc.
