Why is Sexual Harassment Prevention training necessary?
In addition to Executive Orders prohibiting discrimination and harassment in the workplace, the unequivocal message from the Supreme Court is that employers must act affirmatively to prevent sexual harassment. Employers demonstrating reasonable efforts to inform employees of expectations, prohibited behaviors, disciplinary actions and avenues of redress can substantially reduce – and often eliminate liability. Comprehensive training is one of the most effective ways to teach employees about the specific conduct prohibited, and to inform them that they can be held personally accountable for harassing behavior.
