Why is school dismissed at noon one day each month?

We call it “Early Release.” On these afternoons teachers and other staff are involved in planning for instruction or for special projects and events. The extra time gives us the chance to complete projects that we can’t do within our normal working hours. See the Weston Calendar for this year’s “Early Release” times. On these days school is dismissed at 12:00 PM.
