Her original name was Tsukino Usagi. Usagi means rabbit, and Bunny is just cuter for a name, IMHO. ^^ And, her real Mixx name is Serena, like the anime dub, which is based off of her alter-ego name, Princess Serenity. But, her nickname is Bunny, which connects her to the original Usagi as well.
