Why is Rudolph Hess a hero to Neo Nazis?
Because: a) Hess was in jail with Hitler when the future “herr Fuhrer” wrote his ramblings also known as “Mein Kampf”, the only “literary accomplishment” of Adolph (since Hitler’s literacy is highly in question, you can imagine Hess had a heavy hand in editing the book). We are talking about a guy who believed all Nazi propaganda with fervor and was never really after power (a good reason why questionable folks like Goering or Himmler are not adored by neonazis). b) To Neonazis in America and Britain, Hess symbolizes the ideal of unification of the Aryan race above petty politics. As some other members told you already, Hess flew in the middle of the war into GB and tried to broker a peace deal between Britain and Germany so all germanis would fight the Soviets (the real “enemy”). He was so delusional he believed that Britain could be convinced that the Aryan race should unite instead of fight.
