Why is RPL still supported over Token Ring with the new terminals but not over Ethernet?

0

There are several reasons for this support. First we already had a bootstrap for the supported Token Ring adapters. Second we were not satisfied with the support for PXE in the ROM BIOS of the Token Ring adapter. As we anticipate that Ethernet will be the predominant topology, further investment in Token Ring was not justified.
