Why is Royal Mail extending the Advertising Mail service to Saturday delivery?

Customers have told us that by not offering Saturday delivery the current service creates complexity and the no-discount Saturday delivery specification also acts as a disincentive for those customers who place importance on a Saturday delivery for direct mail. So to improve our service offering, Advertising Mail will attract a discount 6 days a week from 9th May 2011, bringing it in line with all other Access services. The revised specification means that mail handed over on a Friday for delivery on a Saturday will become eligible for the discount.
