The roof pitch is important because it ensures that the roof has the proper slope to effectively drain water off of both the flashing and the skylight. Almost all VELUX products require a minimum pitch of 15º degrees with the exception of Curb Mounted Skylights (FCM) that can be installed on a 5º degree or greater pitch.
