Why is rim strip or rim tape width and installation important?
Rim tape or rim strips can be too thick, too wide, the tape ends can overlap leaving a bump, or it can be incorrectly installed and curl up the sides. Any or all of these factors may cause the tire to come off the rim or a tire puncture, which may lead to an accident or injury. Please make sure to have a professional Bicycle Mechanic assist you with this installation if necessary.
