I assume you mean Branch Rickey and he is very much still a part of today’s game of baseball even though he has been dead for 42 years. Rickey was the first executive to have a farm system for his team and helped to integrate MLB by signing Jackie Robinson to a contract. Maybe part of the reason is today’s youth is not as interested in baseball history as the youth of an earlier time was.
