Why is Richard Dawkins book “The God Delusion” being advertised on CNN?

0

CNN advertising Richard Dawkins’ “The God Delusion” does not in anyway cast doubt on their objectivity. After all, CNN has also advertised books of a religious character too, hence they are balancing perspectives. CNN, like any other channel, is dependent on advertising money. Yet, just because they advertise a particular product, doesn’t mean that they endorse the opinions that such a product might stand for. CNN might allow advertisments for Snickers candy bars, and they may also advertise for Coca Cola, but does that mean they are against the AMA and against health and fitness for Americans? Of course not. They generate revenue, and the products that they advertise do not in any reflect their stance on an issue. In fact to ban a book from being advertised is just as much a reflection of their bias as advertising it. Would you rather have them prohibit the advertisement of a book and make their biases more transparent?

What is your question?

*Sadly, we had to bring back ads too. Hopefully more targeted.
