Why is Queensland Health continuing to use the WorkBrain system?
WorkBrain is regarded as one of a number of market leading rostering products globally and has been operating in production within Queensland Health since March 2010. Ernst and Young identified that the configuration developed through the initial implementation needs to be changed, not the fundamentals of the application itself. The suppliers of the WorkBrain rostering system and the specialist staff supporting the system now have a deep knowledge of the Queensland Health environment, including the complex award combinations and operational complexities of the payroll solution environment. The introduction of a new rostering solution would result in an additional burden on staff and would require further significant investment in product, support, training and change management.
