Why is quality so important particularly with photovoltaic systems?
Systems assembled today will generate electricity on your roof for approximately 40 years. Once the financing has ended, the owner will retain the full yield. The owner of the system will then receive the full yield for 20, 25 or even 30 years. So we are talking about an absolutely long-term economic asset. If you decide against high quality today you will have problems with various components within just a few years. Examples of such problems are rusty screws, corroded cables, loose mountings. A very decisive factor will, however, also be the systems efficiency level in 20 or 30 years time. The performance of cheap modules declines very considerably. This will make itself clearly felt in your wallet. Consequently: It is not only with washing machines that quality is important and your photovoltaic system has to last 10 times longer!
