Pipes made from metal, such as copper, steel or iron, will begin to corrode as soon as the water is turned on. Hot water re-circulation systems accelerate the break down of the pipe material. Failures in copper systems are occurring in as little time as 18 months from installation and hot water re-circulating systems, under normal operating conditions, are failing within 15 to 22 years. Cleaning and then coating a pipe system with our GrizzlyKote™ epoxies create a barrier between the water and the existing pipe. Our epoxy is so tough it is ‘chemical resistant and will not react with the water, preventing future leaks and corrosion. In addition, GrizzlyKote™ is certified for use in ‘commercial hot’ (180° F) applications.
