Why is protecting reproductive rights important?
Fortunately, voters in the Untied States elected a pro-choice President, Barack Obama, in 2008. However, the United States Congress does not have a pro-choice majority in either chamber. Furthermore, we will be living with President Bush’s legacy for years to come thanks to his appointment of two anti-choice justices on the United States Supreme Court, John Roberts and Samuel Alito.
