Why is Price Fixing Illegal?
Fixing prices is when a vendor gets with another vendor to set a price on a product or service that will guarantee them the best profit. The reason this is illegal is that it may be harmful monetarily to the public. It also allows the vendors to raise the costs as they see fit because it is a necessary item in life that people can’t do without and they do not have to lower those prices.
