Why is pre-registering for a convention important?
Pre-registering for local conventions is important for the organizing committees of the these conventions, important enough that many conventions offer a discounted rate for pre-registering early. Minnesota Gamers’ Convention is offering two discounted rates, pre-register by March 31st for $20 or pre-register between April 1st and August 31st for $30 for the entire convention. By pre-registering for a convention you are letting the organizing committee know how many people are planning on attending and what the attendees specific interests are. This allows the organizing committees determine the amount of space needed for the convention and the number and type of events that interest the attendees.
