Why is PowerTracks Pro Audio recording an audio track when I am only trying to record MIDI?

0

PowerTracks Pro Audio 9 and higher have a feature that will allow audio to be recorded even when the current track is MIDI. PowerTracks will offer to keep the audio take on the nearest available blank track. This can be a “lifesaver” in those situation where you wanted to record audio, but you accidentally selected the current track as a MIDI track. To disable this feature, go to Options | Preferences | Audio, and uncheck “Always Record Audio too, if current track is midi”. Note that if you were doing the opposite – recording an audio track – PowerTracks would also record MIDI if it received MIDI data from your synth.
