Why is Poker Charts better than a spreadsheet?
[back to top] A spreadsheet is a general-purpose application that is great at calculation, but poor at organizing and presenting the type of data poker record-keeping generates. Not only do you need to set up the spreadsheet to easily input session information, it would take hours of manipulation to generate the correlations, graphs, filters and statistics found in Poker Charts. On top of that, a spreadsheet is stored on your hard drive, which can crash or become corrupted at anytime. This is assuming that you have the latest spreadsheet software installed and working properly with your operating system in the first place. Poker Charts data is backed up at least twice daily, and redundant servers mean that the application is always available. Lastly, you cannot access your spreadsheet from a remote location—your Poker Charts data is always available through any web browser.
