Why is Pilkington Optiwhite™ more expensive than Pilkington Optifloat™ standard clear float glass?
Due to higher priced raw materials, additional costs incurred in the manufacturing process at substantially lower volumes than regular float and the need to import it from our sister company in Germany. Being able to manufacture in the UK at reasonable volumes will enable us to reduce our cost to supply.
