Why is pH important when selecting Oxygen-enriched nutritional supplements?
Oxygen-enriched Life Systems™ has a balanced pH (approximately 7.4). Other Oxygen products are based on oxychlorination compounds and contain sodium chlorite, which results in high pH values, usually in excess of 10. To neutralize the high pH of these products, the body has to produce and release higher concentrations of hydrochloric acid in the stomach, which reacts with the chlorite ion to create a diatomic molecule of oxygen and chlorine. It is only when these molecules are broken that theoretically they can enter the oxygen into the bloodstream. However, Life Systems™ contains bio-available oxygen and does not depend on the digestive processes to be absorbed. In fact, this can also be safely taken sublingually (under the tongue).
