Why is Perpetual establishing an offshore business?
Perpetual as an organisation has a long and successful track record of delivering growth for investors and we are committed to ensuring this continues. As our existing businesses are now well established, we looked at ways to develop new growth engines for the business that build on what we believe are our key strengths, providing clients with strong investment performance and high levels of client service. As part of this process, and given the extensive size of the international market, as well as the ongoing globalisation of world equity markets, we decided late last year to bring the management of International equities in-house. This decision was a considered one, and one which we are confident is in the best interests of all stakeholders.
