Why is parking enforced?
Del Mar’s sandy wide beaches and unique downtown environment create special parking challenges. As a result of the ever increasing demand for parking, the City has chosen to designate certain areas of town as timed parking every day of the year. These areas are clearly marked with signs which describe the hours that the parking regulations are applicable. This helps increase turnover, resulting in more available parking spaces.
