Why is outreach important?
Health care plans and benefits and the health care delivery system are complicated, intimidating to many and often create barriers to parents concerned about obtaining health insurance for their children. The Children’s Health Initiative’s goal is to reduce parents’ fears and confusion by offering client-friendly locations where families can meet with application assistants who are trained to help parents enroll their children in health coverage programs.
